N52922:
1981 Cessna 172P
Our 1981 Cessna 172P is a well-maintained
basic IFR aircraft, SN 17274635. You will note
from the photo that it has wheel pants, a
two-blade prop and an LED landing-taxi
light.
The airplane (as
is our 182R) is hangared in a Marianna
airport shade hangar, and we have a series
of club-standard procedures around its use.
Click on either
photo for detail.
The interior of
the airplane is in very good condition, with
cloth seats and carpet; it has its original
1981 paint job. As you can see
from the photo, we keep her clean and
shiny-- members are required to clean all
leading surfaces, struts, windshield and
wheel pants after each flight. (Ah,
the joys of bug splatters....)
The airplane is equipped with a Lycoming
O-320, 160 HP engine, normally aspirated.
The plane has basic avionics-- no autopilot,
no GPS, two older NAV-COMM radios with VOR
with localizer and glideslope, a factory-original audio
panel, four place intercom and basic 1981
factory guages.
It's a 24V
electrical system, and many of our pilots
use their own electronics (such as
Foreflight). One of
our pilots calls it "A great little
Cessna 172 that flies very well, and offers
up no surprises."
